What sql net-lib should I use to enable encryption?
Answer:
You should use the multi-protocol network library to enable encryption.
1. Run Server Network Utility.
2. Add Multiprotocol if it does not appear in the Server network library list.
3. On the General tab, select Multiprotocol, click Edit button, and select
Enable multi-protocol encryption.
Note. You do not need to use the multi-protocol network library to enable
encryption in SQL Server 2000. SQL Server 2000 can use the Secure
Sockets Layer (SSL) to encrypt all data transmitted between an
application computer and a SQL Server instance on a database computer.
