What hardware and software requirements should I have for installing Analysis Services?

Answer:

SQL Server 2000 Analysis Services hardware requirements:

  • Intel or compatible platform
  • Pentium 166 MHz or higher (Pentium II, III, IV and compatible)
  • 32MB RAM minimum, 64MB RAM and more recommended
  • 50 MB minimum on the hard disk, 130 MB maximum


  • SQL Server 2000 Analysis Services software requirements:

  • Windows NT Server 4.0 with service pack 5 or later
  • Windows NT Server 4.0 Enterprise Edition with service pack 5 or later
  • Windows 2000 Server/Advanced Server/Datacenter
